Having trouble getting out of box

I think this kid can generate more speed and a higher batting average by getting out of the box quicker. We've been working with speed training, but technically, it just doesn't seem right.

Any suggestions how we might be able to take .2 seconds off his time to 1B?

Also, isn't there too much pronation before the internal rotational preload? Trying to get a good MLB swing, but it just doesn't seem to be there.

Reminded me of Manny Ramirez, the amount of time they stayed in the box admiring the ball before running. IMO, the problem is a matter of style, not mechanics. Good luck getting a D1 ride if it continues.

Love it! Off to a good start.

Honestly ... I deal more with the opposite issue ... kids virtually aborting their swings near contact to begin sprinting out of the box.

I'm thinking a little more authority on the helmet spike could help!
