There was a catcher on one of the Olympic teams, forget what country she played for, who used to pop her glove in one location and the pitch was going to another.
Can understand how glove pop could become habit because catchers might be doing that to pop excessive dirt off their glove.Never understood the glove pop, seems more beneficial (from a timing standpoint) to the hitter who can’t see when the catcher is set.
