Has anyone placed a GoPro to video a team, DD, DGD, etc and had a parent or coach on the opposing team ask you to remove it. Saying their DD was catching or pitching and not want them filmed? If so how did you handle the situation.
I posted a video of a girl intentionally running down a player on our team. I really just thought it was worth sharing, and still do. But when her dad asked me to take it down I did, out of respect for parenting in general & because she was the specific focus of the video. However, the game in its entirety is posted on our team FB page and i would not take that down even if asked (I'm not the coach - he may choose to overrule me if it became an issue, but my stance would be no). In this day and age anyone could be filming anything in any public place. Get used to it. ETA: I also wouldn't take down the camera in the moment unless someone in charge made me.
This is from one of my favorites. Ump walked up to see if GoPro was on. There was a previous spot in the event where they were talking by the GoPro and then one said "hey that might be on" and they both turned and looked at it and then walked off. LOL
No way I take it down unless TD said take it down.
The only thing I ever get asked is when / where will the video be posted and how they might can access it... or where I got that "really cool" mount and setup... The only time I had a "request" was when a mom thought she might have said something that wasn't very lady like and she simply asked if I would edit that part out or do something with the sound before I posted it, which I would have done anyway...
What everyone is saying is what I did in both instances. One was travel and one was rec. The travel got the TD and even called the cops and I think she found out it was nothing she could do.
