To all those hosting Friendly’s
Post your events on VTD under the tournaments section and get:
• Instant exposure for your event
• History of who scored against who
• Tournament Insurance
• Team Points towards VTD Nationals
What do you loose:
• Sanction fees
• Risk of not having insurance if someone is injured at your event
• Phone Calls explaining who is coming
• Having to create the pools/brackets in Excel
With other sanctioning bodies making the statement that their insurance will only cover their sanctioned events this leaves a gap in coverage for the friendly host. All VTD sanctioned events are covered under VTD’s insurance policy. The teams will need to be registered with VTD ($35/Team/Year) and need to have insurance for their team. We don’t require them to use our insurance, but it’s easy and only $60 a team if you don’t already have team insurance.
If you would like to list your friendly’s on VTD all you need to do is create a ‘Tournament Director’ account under “Create a FREE Login”. Once logged in click on “Work A Tourney” on your left hand menu and then “Add New Tournaments”.
