Ball hit/bunted and lands in fair portion of batter's box. Batter does not touch the ball. Is the ball ruled fair or does the batter's box area cause it to be ruled foul?

We had a bunt come to a stop on home plate. Umpire called it foul.

Some of us in the stands were in disagreement, but of course we don't have the rules memorized. In review later in the day, we think we were right.

If it came to a stop on home plate, and wasn't touched while foul, you are right.

Had a dribbler going entirely up the third base side in foul territory by about a foot, rolling very slowly. F5 casually strolls down as it hits the grass cutout and rolls toward the line. As it crossed the line, she picked it up so I (properly) pointed that it was a fair ball. B/R has already rounded first and coasted into second. Stands erupt with "but it started in foul territory". <insert facepalm>

Coach knew, players knew, F5 knew that she "fouled" up. Goes down as a rope in the book ;)
