I really love this game called softball. I do research, talk to people, go to games, and work with kids most of the year. And sometimes get roped into doing two teams. And I love it.

BUT: I need a break every year. At some point I try to not do anything relating to Softball.
This really helps me. Do any of you need some down time? or do you just live Softball 24-7-365?

I used to take a break for my other hobby, until I realized that the two were far too closely related.

From week of Thanksgiving - Christmas week, I try to get away from it. We kick off school ball first week of January. Not much of a break, I guess.

Everyone goes to a burn-out phase when doing something 24/7. It's always healthy to do something else before doing the same thing again. It will help with the enthusiasm and excitement of going back to the same routine again. This happens to players as well, that's why recovery is important.
