Disbanding a league

Hey y'all,

I could use your insight into disbanding a league. I'm part of one that's been around for about 10 years. There's fiction in leadership currently and we suspect that after elections at the end of year, we will no longer have board.

Does anyone know how we deal with looking down the assets in case someone comes around and wants to revive the league? Wed like to have a plan in place before the elections.

Not only is there a modest bank account, there's also field and softball equipment.

Each state has slightly different laws. Basically, you have to sell all the assets, pay all the debts and give the money to a similar charitable organization.
