Crack in bat or crack in paint?

I think this is just a crack in the paint. But maybe someone more familiar with ghosts can verify. Performance doesn’t seem to be affected. There is crazing on the paint all around like I see in other broken-in bats.

That looks like the beginning stages of a crack where the upper layer of the carbon fiber composite is starting to delaminate. It will keep performing just fine for a while.

Exactly what Eric said. DD’s looked like that, got super hot for a few weeks and then developed a hole.

DD goes through around 4-5 bats per year so I have seen this many times. Looks like the beginning of the end, I'm afraid. They can still perform like crazy even with huge cracks! Make your warranty claim now if it's still covered.
