Just looking for recommendations from coaches on books to read on coaching. I am a coach who is always looking to learn new drills or read other coaching tips. Any tips on hitting drills or fielding drills would also be great. Thanks again.
I agree about Kobata. Had the chance to watch him in person and talk with him. You will see that high-level players use a lot of what he teaches.
Once you are confident you understand what you're wanting to teach the kids, develop a practice plan. Pick two or three different skills to work on. Work on the first one until you can see your team is performing the drills correctly. Don't move on because you have something else scheduled. THE most important thing is what you're working on now. Don't try and "teach" too many things in one practice. You'll only over load your team. Especially at the younger age levels. You want them feeling confident and excited they learned something new without feeling confused at the end of a practice.
