My advice at that age is to get her into a decent setup, tell her to swing hard and pitch to her a lot...you will have plenty of time to butt heads with her when she gets a bit older :p

My 6 YO DS likes to play games so a lot of his "practice" is me putting down bases in the driveway and playing a "game" where I pitch wiffles to him and he wins 12-0 every "game" because our team doesn't get to hit and we can only score runs if we catch a GB/Fly ball cleanly and my track running, volleyball playing DW is my "fielder" :LOL:

Put an empty cardboard box in front of the tee, and at the same height as the tee itself. Tell her to hit the ball, but not the box. She'll figure it out.

She’s a 6 yr old and first year player.. I know it’s maybe early for her, but I would like to going in the right direction with her hitting. She loves the sport
Maybe get her a plastic tee set for smashing balls in the back yard? Key word is smashing? :devilish:
