My daughter cracked her bat in two places on a grand slam home run…at the point of contact and near the handle. Very proud moment but now I need to find her another bat similar to the Miken Freak Black. She has a blue Makko but don't like it.

Well, at least it gave it's life up for something significant. Congrats to your DD on the GS!

You might be able to find another MFB in good condition from a DFPer. When my DD lost hers, I was able to replace it pretty quickly thanks to the fine people of this site.

If you're looking for something new, the Rawlings Quatro could be considered a younger cousin to the MFB. The LXT and CF9 would also be viable candidates.

If you added the size you were looking for to your post it would be easier for DFP members to help you out.

Yeah, I can see how that can be helpful…:p;)

I am looking for either a 31 or 32…drop 10. She has been using a 32 drop 10 but a 31 has been suggested for her.

Who suggested dropping down to a 31"? Is your DD late getting around on pitches? Being a cheap SOB, I always preferred going up a size vs. down when buying a new bat, especially while my DD was still growing.

If she's hitting grand slams with a 32, it would take a pretty compelling reason to make a change to a shorter bat. How tall is your DD?

My daughter is 5'1 1/2 and weighs 110 pounds. I don't think she will grow much considering she will be 17 soon.

I posted her swing awhile back and it was suggested that her bat could be too big for her.

I don't recall what your DD's swing looks like, but a 32" bat for a player that size doesn't jump out at me as being a mis-match. That said, neither does a 31". My DD was swinging a 32" MFB at that height (11yo, 105-ish lbs), and handled it just fine, but every player is different. The "right" bat is the biggest one she can swing well with. If the size of the bat is affecting her ability to make good swings against the pitching she's facing, then it's too big.
