Who do you think are the catchers that we can point to as models for our own FP catchers? Open to any and all i.e., NCAA SB, MLB, your DD/DS, current, retired, rising, etc. Pix and video support welcome. IMO, unfortunately there are many elite-level catchers that are getting by with poor or mediocre technique because of their athleticism - this is particularly true in the FP game.
I lost count of how many times Salvador Perez of the KC Royals was referred to as an All-Star catcher in tonight's WS game. He's got a really quick release and a cannon for an arm, but....his blocking and receiving could be better IMO.
Although I don't get to see him much as I'm an AL fan, the Brewer's Lucroy is at or very near the top of my list for receiving, blocking, and throwing.
