Best Bat For My 10 Year Old Daughter

As far as sizing, we went to a very good camp awhile back and they recommended the bat be roughly two times the width of the shoulders. So if the shoulders are 15 inches wide, go with a 30.

I am on board with everyone who recommends the -10 bats but one exception is the CF6 -11. This is a great bat for 10u hitters. Very hot, and IMHO if the shoulder with measurement called for a 28 or 29 you could prob get away with a 30 -11 a little better than the drop 10.

I didn't see too many bats smaller than 30's in the last couple years at that age.

My daughter is older (12y.o.) and we just picked up the DeMarini CF6 Insane 32-23. Its end loaded, so it has a little different feel than a balanced bat. She really likes it. She came from an Easton 32-22.

The very best bat for 9-11 year olds, IMHO, is the CF6 drop -11. You should be able to get her one that is 1" longer than she's used to and not skip a beat. The ball will fly off the thing like a laser beam, too.

Do not buy a bat unless you have swung it or swung bats within the same size/weight of a manufacturer!

DD had a 30/18 Vendetta which was light and I bought an Easton SVR4B 30/20 thinking that would be appropriate and to my surprise it actually weighs 22 oz! It is a tank! There is no way she could use it without major bat speed loss or messing with her mechanics.

Everyone recommending the CF6 is correct as far as performance but the OP indicated a budget of <$160. That alone should take the CF6 out of this discussion.

My first suggestion would be a 30/20. You need to get her to a balanced -10 as quickly as possible.
