The Broadneck Blaze will be starting a 14u team for the 2013 season. Girls must be 14 or under on Dec. 31 2012, (12-14 years old) have a passion for playing fastpitch and be committed to play travel fastpitch.
The first tryout will be in beginning of August. We are looking to have 2 tryout dates (attend both) to gauge/evaluate the skill level of the girls. ALL POSITIONS OPEN. Pitchers wanted, step up to be the #1 or #2 starter.
We plan on playing 8-10 weekend tournaments April through July 2013. If the team can come together for the Fall season of the 2012 year I would like to do 2-3 tournaments in Sept./Oct. of this season. We will use these as a gauge for winter practices.
Player should expect practices at least twice a week during the season. Practices will supplemented by batting instruction as needed by local hitting instructor. Pitchers and catchers may be required to attend one additional practice a week. Pitching instruction will also utilize local instructors as needed.
