Hoping to get some honest feedback. I'm getting her a batting coach but not until next summer before 14u. Thanks in advance..
Both are true and both are related to one another. In other words she has little flexion because she is staying back.Front leg is a little straight at landing, she dos firm up at contact, just very little knee flexion before straightening up.
She is also staying back, weight shift isn't happening with the hips/core moving out. She just reaches with the stride leg.
12u hasn't been a problem. She hits for average and power. She's already 5'7" so her strength might be helping things along. Just trying to prepare for the 14u girls next year with proper technique.Looks pretty good to me. I would beware of any batting coach that want to change to much.

How does she hit now?
You want her staring at the ball until contact/swing. Too many girls pull off the ball too early and cheat themselves. Make contact follow through and then worry about where the ball went.Just a tip: Have her look at an imaginary pitcher instead of staring at the ball the whole time. Post some swings with a moving ball if you can.
So when you hit off of a pitcher, before you swing, you are staring at the point of contact the whole time? Interesting...You want her staring at the ball until contact/swing.
