Tournament still going on, just wanted to post some experiences.
Pros:
Park City! Gorgeous, everything is green right now. Locals are happy to see the players, families, and all the money here during their slow time.
Lodging! Most families are staying in condos, ours is very nice for a good price.
Field prep!! Fields are completely watered, dragged, and relined between EVERY game. Very nicely done.
Cons:
Competition level was not quite as expected, but still some good teams.
Some fields do not have any bleachers for spectators, so out-of-towners had to purchase cheapo chairs that will mostly end up sitting in condos when they leave.
Poor foul-ball protection at all parks, short backstops, fences, no netting, etc.
Overall, a big thumbs up so far. This place could truly be a summer softball mecca with some facilities investments.
