I found the 2007 case book online, a friend gave me the 2017 version but what I posted is actually from the rules and clarifications which are published on the USA softball website.

Unfortunately I traded in my PC for an I Pad years ago but maybe I can borrow my daughters laptop.
Heaven forbid should USA actually print it in book form!

Another question- Suppose batter hits a ground ball to F5 who is playing in.
Ball deflects off her shin but F6 has a play on the now deflected ball but R2 runs into her while she is going for the ball.
Not intentional.
Do we have interference?
