The Packaged Deal still a decent deal?

We have the opportunity for my 14U DD to attend a Packaged Deal pitching clinic here in the near future but I'm worried about what she'd get out of it.

My main fear is we don't have any IR style coaching within at three hour driving radius of home (that I can find) and I don't want to pay money and have my DD to show up and hear nothing but the same old HE tropes that she usually gets from any of the other local pitching coaches.

I haven't seen any recent reviews and I also don't want to spend that kind of money if the Packaged Deal ladies are just phoning it nowadays or have farmed out all the coaching to a bunch of unknowns.

Yea or Nay? What say you?

Thanks DFP'ers!

From my experience with TPD, Amanda spent time with leg drive and drills to help front side resistance. She did talk about the arm whip..I did wish some focus was on IR but she didn't teach HE(hope what I just wrote made sense). Overall was a good experience. The instructors were positive and gave some motivational speeches...which was by far my DD favorite part of the entire camp.

Her teaching has evolved for sure - one of the last drills that she shared was Liberty starting on one leg.

My DD liked meeting the gals and interacting with them. She enjoyed hearing them share and motivate with their stories and experiences.

The pitching portion was one drill after another very fast paced and exhausting which would have been fine, but then she got called out for not locating well and not making adjustments to her locating in the middle of drills where you are coming up from your stomach to throw and then hopping all over the place and then throwing. She was bummed out to get called out in the midst of putting out 100% of exertion in a drill and then somehow being expected to get the ball in the zone at the same time.

I can't imagine Amanda "phoning it in". Amanda is a great person. Her understanding of the finer points of pitching mechanics and her ability to teach pitching is superior to most PCs.

IMHO, it is a great opportunity for your DD.
