Going to remove the rebuttal to OILF... as it was a little harsh... and I'm not going to play her game.

OILF,

It's pretty obvious you don't like me. I get that. Move on, please. You're not exposing me, you're exposing yourself.

I won't comment on your posts... but please... pretty please... kindly remove yourself from conversation with me. Stay away from my posts, and I'll return the favor.

Best,
JS

I'm not very technologically savvy but I have a great before and after video of one of my pitchers drive foot during her full motion. The kid has been incorporating the two step a few times a week for the last two weeks. Fastball went from 49-50mph consistently to 52-53. She is beyond pumped!

JS,

KK and I were trying to see how it should look when pitching. Which video resembles how it should look if any.

Regarding the two step drill, can a pitcher achieve similar and optimum weight shift by lifting the pivot foot up (heel still on the pitching plate) while rocking back on the stride foot before the weight shift forward? DD "naturally" started adding this to her pre-motion routine before each pitch.

I slowed video 2 down. You can see KK's drive foot come up to drive into the ground. I really doubt the umps or opposing coaches can see this step.

Rocketech1,

The rocking back IMO does not have the immediate shifting of weight to stride foot drive out.

Nick & KK,

Awesome job!!! The only thing I'd really, really, really recommend (really)... is that KK start with her right heel at the FRONT of the rubber... and as she transfers weight back... she slides & centers the drive foot (to the position she is starting - in these videos).

The reason: I see KK getting to the point where she skips the back motion (rushes through it)... and completing a slide rearwards will ensure that it happens... which helps maximize the energy forward.

Hook looks better, too. Get her to firm up the stride leg a bit... maybe tell her to send her hip to the catcher... so she gets a little better rearward spine angle.

Her front side timing is really good in the second video... amazingly better than the last 6 months... which was always one of KK's larger issues.

You rock, KK!!!!!! Good work ethic and good parenting go a long way!
