Regardless, at some point after having the medical OK, it comes down to mentally trusting that the doc did the job right and you go all out and let the chips fall where they may. In DD's case, she did it HS Jr year and the knee is still good to go today after playing through college.

As far as continued wear and tear on the joint, and pain, I agree. As far as being able to swing close to 100% I really believe front knee repair would be greatly preferable.

I'm not entirely convinced - the front knee resists the backside's forward energy and also experiences significant torque. IMO, stopping, not starting is more traumatic. FWIW, Tiger's front knee is the one that's been problematic.
