My old DD is 9 playing 10U ball. She is a little different than my younger DD. she is a good contact hitter, but has very little power. When she does hit it hard it's always opposite field or up the middle. If she pulls anything it's usually a weak grounder. Any tips or suggestion to create a better swing appreciated.

So Cal
Issues I see after a quick look...
- DBSF pattern
- No release of hinge angle (extension)
- Bug squishing
- Bat drag
- Arms leading the swing

These are very common swing issues for this age group, so don't be discouraged. She seems to have good coordination to get the barrel on the ball, which is a very good thing at this age. As the AC of a 10U rec team, I see swings similar to this constantly.

I would start by getting her lower body working right with "walk-through/happy gillmore" and "knee kick" drills. The rear foot should be getting pulled up onto the toe rather than spinning in place, and the rear hip should be driving forward.

Getting the hands working right, and getting away from the DBSF pattern can be a long battle, but stick with it. One of the big components is getting her to understand (feel!) that the arms do not swing the bat, but rather than the hands stay connected with the rotation of the torso and "turn the barrel" to contact.

For her extension issues, and getting her to understand (feel!) releasing the hinge angle through contact, try some tee or front toss and tell her to "point the bat at the pitcher" after she hits the ball.

She looks to be too ridgid in her stance and swing. Soften the knees some. She is straighten out the front leg early so that force's her to hit off the back side...no weight shift.

I would work on throwing, to get those back foot toes pointing to china. Have her step out with a flex knee so she can feel the weight shift to the front leg.
When her throwing gets better, her hitting will improve
