Maybe the bats not for her...and I can see that as to each their own feel. But mishits/bloopers aren't the bat. Also, if she isn't barreling up much, then she is gonna feel more
than the other bats that she is squaring up more times than not.

The tee thing tells me a lot. If she is lighting the balls up and getting very good exit speeds. Then live pitching the feeling goes south because of
mishits/bloopers...just tells me she isn't comfy with the bat and not getting good swings with it much. And the occasional rocket in live hitting kinda speaks to that.

I do hope it gets better for her with more usage and getting used to the feel

Scientific question here..........why is drilling your Dad THE funniest thing ever in the world to a DD?? What kind of evil is in their head that makes them die laughing? Is the Mom and DD channeling some kind of telepathic vibes back and forth to each other, with the DD saying look what I did Mom, and then with them giving each other THE best fist bump ever at our painful expense?

.

SO TRUE. MY DD hits me she laughs....her teammates hit me they all are overly concerned and saying they are sorry. Last time DD did it...she said... GOT YOU!

Laphoneman, I take it you were throwing front toss without a screen......? Not sure how old your DD is but I very clearly remember 5 years ago exactly where I was when I said nope, no more!! I'll never throw to my DD ever again without a screen! It never phased me, I'm very good with a glove, I'll never get hit........okay:rolleyes:.

BTW Laphoneman, that's ugly! Bet you didn't play that one off......I'm good, I'm good:cool:.

I always use a screen with my DDs (12 and 15) but sometimes I don't get 100% behind the screen when I'm trying to watch something with their mechanics. They love to compete on who can hit dad first or the most times.

Laphoneman - I feel for you! That bruise definitely looks worse than any of the hits I've taken.

Thanks Core/bat man. Ordered Power Carbon on Tues. arrived Wed. I do live in the same state as Core. DD won't be home from college until next Thurs. I'll report back on what she thinks of new bat.

My DD was 9, I think. She squared one up STRAIGHT into my temple. It knocked me on my butt and I was literally seeing black and stars. The next day the L-screen was on order. :)

That defining moment I was talking about 5 years ago.......I didn’t get hit. Anna hit a screaming line drive by my right ear, missed by a few inches, wow moment. One of those balls that had already went by me and “then” I got my glove there! The ONLY reason it didn’t hit me is because it just didn’t hit me! It was nothing I did, we stopped right then and I’ve never pitched without a screen since that day!
