Just heard this from Florida USSSA:

"USSSA has revisited the Ghost/Gap bat manufacturers and is happy to report that USSSA will allow certain Gap bats (including the Easton Ghost) in USSSA Fastpitch with additional warranties and assurances from the manufacturers regarding the performance of such bats and the limited possibility of successfully altering Gap bats to impermissibly improve their performance. All such USSSA approved Gap bats, including the Easton Ghost, will have added to their USSSA mark the words “For Fastpitch Only."

***NOTE: Previous versions of the Ghost Bat made WITHOUT the USSSA mark will still not be legal in USSSA sanctioned play."

So I have to ask since I may be interested in buying this bat ... is there a difference between the stamped version and non-stamped version ? And if not why not allow the non-stamped edition in to play?

The only reason I am looking for a bat for DD is because DD has a dated bat by USSSA ...similarly approved by every association except USSSA...it's about money right !? ;-)

Well, there will be new Ghost for usssa next year, so that will have the stamp on it. That is what is being approved. Whether Easton gets it out earlier...maybe so.

But this is gonna be a little process..I will guarantee you that
