Great to hear of the tremendous will and work to get back to where she wants to be. I watched a 10 year old slide head first full speed into home, with the catcher covering, during a friendly a couple of weeks ago. Made me cringe! We allow our girls to go back to the bag head first, as there is a lot less speed carried, but into the bag is another issue. A lot more risk than reward especially at the younger ages imho.

I hope she makes a speedy and full recovery.
A guy in my slow pitch beer league injured himself worse doing the same thing. He is in a wheel chair. Sliding feet first is better.
