    Default Catcher-Specific Stretches?

What stretching routine do your catchers do? Dd11's team does a group warmup, but it doesn't seem to be enough for her.

Static stretches? Don't do them before a game.

Dynamic warmups are enough for the team. Look up the research that FIFA did on dynamic warmups. We do that.

The players can't just "go through the motions" with the dynamic warmups. Too many teams do them poorly and don't get a good stretch. If that's the case a fun, simple, effective and quick routine for a catcher is to kick on some music and jump rope for 3 minutes using a variety of hops.

I would love for my DD to do that. Is this based on personal observation or a recommended regime?

The idea came from a trainer that works with collegiate and professional athletes when his daughter played with us from 12-14u. He led our off-season conditioning program and we built our pre-game dynamic workout around his teaching. I focused on jump rope in my response earlier because in my personal observation it is the easiest thing to get the players to do with the highest payback. Elevates the heart rate, works wrists, shoulders, legs, ankles. The players enjoy it and sometimes make it competitive - who can jump longest, fastest, etc.
