Daughter had a perfect game this past weekend in her tournament.... well sorta. She faced 9 batters, struck all 9 out, threw only 36 pitches and they won 18-0 in three innings. Does that count

I saw a DI player pitch a 6 inning, run rule perfect game. If it counts for DI ball, I don't know it wouldn't count for any other level.

It's been awhile since I've done higher math, but:

9 batters x 3 pitches per batter = 27 (minimum)
36 pitches thrown - 27 (minimum) = 9 over the minimum.

I see, yes, she could have retired all 9 on one pitch. I should have said 9 over the minimum of striking out the side in all 3 innings as she did.
