Core had mentioned in another thread about Monsta bats being a manufacturer that he felt could compete with the Wilson bat lineup. He said that he had been trying for some time to get the owner to enter the fastpitch market. Maybe I misunderstood, but I took that to mean that Monsta had not...
My 11 year old DD uses a Vinci BV1929-L. This model is 12.5 inches with closed basket web and 5 oz Kip leather. No velcro. This is an awesome glove! My DD plays 3rd and pitches. I would highly recommend this glove.
I think that I have a pretty good understanding of muscle feel and how the orientation and timing ( "Forward to go back") of the hips, legs, shoulders and hands work when I swing a bat myself. My problem is how to explain to my 10 year old how to understand and identify this feeling.
I...
Thank you to those that responded. Thank you especially straightleg for giving me an actual list. This is exactly what I was looking for. I hope my DD will benefit from this as much as your DD has.
I am looking for help creating a schedule of drills to help my 10 yr old become the best hitter possible. Are there certain combinations of drills that work better together and do you alternate between different drills on different days? Do you have a set amount of repetitions and a how many...
When you talk about transition from an Open stance around the stiff or firm rear leg, is it the way Jen Yee and Evan Longoria start? I had asked a question on BBD in the "Sequence" thread pertaining to Evan Longoria's swing and how I thought that might be a good way to teach my daughter to lead...

I see you are from Summerville. I am from Ware Shoals, in the Upstate close to Greenwood. I can't comment on the Nakona but my 10 year old Daughter has a Vinci BV1929-L. It is a 12.5" closed web and the leather is 5 oz Kip. My DD plays third base and pitches. The 1929-L is a very nice glove and...
Thanks for responding. In order to hit the ball when tossed up to yourself will require quick hands. Rdbass thanks for pointing that out. GOINGDEEP, I have hit thousands of rocks with an old wood bat. Man, that brings up memories.
As a kid we were always tossing a ball up to ourselves and hitting fly balls or grounders to our friends as a game. I see this in boys, but I very seldom see young girls tossing the ball up and hitting. I have a 10 year old DD that I am trying to help become a good hitter. She plays 10u Travel...
