Midwest indoor tourneys - Need help finding some
The time limit was our biggest complaint. I would try contacting the tournament director and see if they made any changes to accommodate longer games.- xplosion10U

Midwest indoor tourneys - Need help finding some
We played in the Dells last year after Christmas. Nice facility, Chula Vista was fun. The tournament was full, 2 fields, only 50 minute time limits, no warmup areas, older levels were playing till 2 am. It was fine for our 10U team, not sure I would invest the time and money for older age...- xplosion10U

14u only calling fastballs
My 11U DD joined a well-known organization for 2012-13. Their 16's and 18's are tops in my area. I was talking with one of the Dad's who has a DD on the 14U team and her coaches told her fastball and change up only, all you need to do is hit your spots. Is this reasonable or is just me?
IMO, if this was a tryout, you need to give 110% to try and make the team, if practice and you already made the team, maybe HC could have let up a little bit.- xplosion10U

Move up to 12U or stay another year at 10U?
My DD was in the same situation last year. She was the #3, played first base, and was an average batter in her first year in 10U. We were asked to move up, but we decided to stay in 10U. DD has excelled this year, solidified #1 pitcher, and she has been ripping the cover off the ball all summer.- xplosion10U

poloitics, parents play a role in your travel team
Totally disagree, the parents are the ones funding the team, they should have some input on what the team spends money on, especially extra fundraising money. A coach should set his budget on training, tournaments, and uniforms and that is what should be applied to the team dues. If the...- xplosion10U

Tournament pitching
Our 10U team has 5-6 pitchers that can throw strikes with decent speed. Of those six, 2 really standout and are considered 'aces'.
