10U Coach Giving Take Sign on 3-0 Count
A coach recently playing 10U Softball in a 10U traveling city league gave the player a take sign on a 3-0 count while leading in the 4th inning by a score of 6 to 0. Is this the correct way to teach softball? As a parent how should you approach the coach?- Merry25

How to stop walk-athon in 10u?
One of things I did when I was having trouble with 9 and 10 year old boys playing baseball was to change it from 4 balls to get a walk to 6 balls to get a walk. It was a change that gave the pitchers a better chance to get outs. The games went much better and the kids learned the game much...- Merry25

3rd Baseman coverage of runner on 3rd base
My granddaughter plays for a youth travel team (10U) and he has told her to come towards home plate even with the runner on 3rd base after the pitch is thrown. Your kid says she wants to quit pitching.....
Better to throw batting practice than it is to walk batters. At least she is throwing strikes. That in itself is a major accomplishment at times!! Speed will pick up as she gets more confidence!- Merry25

Ask her if she feels like she is putting too much pressure on herself? Or if the coaches are expecting too much which causes the pressure? Or if it is caused by her teammates? Ask her if she wants to step away is that being a good teammate or do her teammates want her to continue to pitch...- Merry25
