Pitching Lessons - At what point do hang it up?
Have you ever thought about possibly bringing in a pitching coach to get a 2nd opinion for the parents? That is if the parents are open to listening to what another PC coach has to say. Agreed!! Earrings, jewelry etc are not allowed to be worn during the game according to ASA rules. My daughter had a silly band on her wrist, a piece of RUBBER and the umpire at the plate asked her to remove the bracelet before she could bat! I understand there are no rules to date for playing...- katiesmum99

I agree with you. At her age the fast, change, & drop ball are very effective pitches. Her coach & I both prefer her to "master" a pitch so to speak before moving on to more advanced pitches. After researching further, we did lose to Team Michigan 8-1, it was another game we lost 2-1 on a bunt, that game was to Empire State Huskies. I stand corrected.- katiesmum99

You are correct Team Michigan went undeafted @ the Pony champions. They were a hell of team to play against. After that overthrow to 1st, the team came un-glued and gave up. We lost 8-1 to Michigan and finished in 9th place (tying with 3 other teams I think) losing to NY. Which by no means...- katiesmum99

Thank you everyone for your replies. She mainly throws her FB & CU during games. She might throw a peel drop if someone is expecting the change (esp. when she gets an 0-2 count). She has been pitching for 3 years now & she has her corners down 90% of the time. She practices every other day...- katiesmum99

What pitches to pitch or not to pitch?
Hello! My daughter just turned 11 years old, throws 52mph, & has 4 pitches she throws with very good acuracy. She has a fastball, change up (a few different styles), drop & drop curve. I've heard from different people the drop & drop curve are pitches an 11 year old shouldn't be throwing...- katiesmum99
