Question for ASA...why South Dakota...or Midland, or Moline, or Bloomington......

I have been personally told by 3 organizations from Cali that they are doing both. Said their organizations feels an obligation to ASA and that ASA is still the true "Nationals". Said they were gonna do PGF too because of great competition and in their back yard. I also know, as of July 7th...

What do you think of this strategy by a coach?

I believe it depends on the situation!! In this case, trailing by 5 with still 5 minutes in the game and 0 outs, I think is definately the wrong move to have 3 batters in a row stepon the plate...bottom 3 r not. However, if I'm trailing in a game and down to the final minutes, one or two outs...

Absolutely.... I will try to post a clip of her tomorrow. Her blocking is a work in progress!!! Although, RARELY any balls get passed her unless they are out of her reach, her mechanics need work!!! She relies on picking them out of the rather that "blocking" them, which we are working on...

and if it is done correctly, the throw from the knees is not only using the shoulder!! Ii is using her core, body, hips and still getting a push from the right leg (on a right hand throw). In order to only use your arm to throw to second the kid would have to be upright with both knees...

    pop time

Like I said in my post, she is taught to do both. She goes with whichever is more comfortable to her with that pitch. About 90% of the throws are from her feet, which she still turns out times in the low 1.8's to 1.9 depending on where the pitch is located.....

pop time... Just figured I would throw my 2 cents in here. My daughter just attended a National Camp in Florida where she was evaluated on various aspects. She is a 12 year old and her official pop time written in her evaluation was 1.81, and that is throwing from her knees. Out of 4 throws...

    Average to good pop time

Daddy O..... That sounds like a great time!! We played in a tourney last weekend(I didn't time the throws in game situations but I will this weekend coming)! I can tell you I had 4 different head coaches from the stronger teams comment on her arm!! She is my daughter, but not being biased she...

    Average to good pop time

Practice, however that is from a pitcher with a girl in the Batter's box. She throws right handed, that's the reason her time is a little slower to first base vs. third. I haven't timed her in a game yet. We play this weekend I will be sure to time her. So where do u think she rates vs other...

    Average to good pop time

My daughter is catching on my travel team and she seems to have a great pop time. We get compliments on her arm consistently!! I am trying to get avg times for her age to see where she stands. I can tell you she is 11 years old and her average pop times from her action stance are 2.3 to...
