Age exemption thoughts
Yes!! My daughter is smaller and used to playing with GIANTS😂 I think it's brings out this fight in her that wouldn't normally be there. Sounds similar to your example! And she's fast too! Not to mention, our "giants" get beat by younger, smaller players all the time. If you have good...- Danica

We joke that people in our town plan pregnancies based on baseball. Like "Honey, if you get pregnant in this month our kid will have a late birthday and dominate in their age group!" 😂 All the kids here are huge and seem like they should be bumping up to the next age group but have those late...- Danica

Strategy Question
Fake throw to 2nd. Try to get the base runner on 3rd picked off. I wouldn't want that runner on 3rd to score. Only because I know how quickly things can get out of hand with errors and runs coming in. That's not a huge lead. Unless you actually have a girl that has a cannon behind the plate...- Danica

I'm constantly asking my husband, as we sit and watch the team fall apart, "why isn't anyone going out there to break this up?!". Especially with the younger girls. They need that reset/ refocus to happen before things get out of hand.- Danica

Love those videos! I agree about learning to use the different arm slots. That's a great tool once they get down the correct way to throw. Something for these girls to aspire to! Huge difference between outfield throws and infield throws. I'm definitely sharing these videos with the team!- Danica

Love those outfield throws!! That's what the girls need to see. There's definitely a difference between and outfielder throwing vs. an infielder. I'll share these this the coaches and parents and maybe they'll inspire the girls to work on their arms! Thanks- Danica

I know what you mean but I think the little kids need to see it broken down sometimes because they throwing so wacky. I tell them to put it together and do the motion faster once they understand the right movements. Thanks for sharing!- Danica

I like that idea.. "don't go any faster in a game than you practice at.". Great advice! Muscle memory is what has to set in with the proper techniques and that can't be achieved solely at practice. I'm trying to get my daughter to just throw in the back yard for 15 minutes a day really...- Danica
