    End of season stats

    Regular season for DD ended yesterday. So proud DW and I could burst. 4-2 record as a pitcher, .459 BA, 4 HRs (2 GS), 7 doubles, 28 RBIs...now it's on to the conference tournament...:cool:

    Oh yeah!!

    Being able to watch your DD get a complete game 9-3 victory from the circle is great...but seeing her hit her first collegiate home run in the same game...AND IT WAS A GRAND SLAM...IS FREAKING AWESOME!!:cool:

    10 years of pitching and hitting lessons - $$$$$ 7 years of travel ball all over the country - $$$$$$ Even with the scholarship, tuition-books-meals, etc. - $$$$$$ Watching DD pitch a CG 5-hit shutout after being down for a week with the interplanetary killer virus - PRICELESS!!:cool:

    DD fulfilled her 9 YO dream

    Very proud softball parents...DD fulfilled the goal she made at 9 YO to pitch in college this past Saturday (win) for her D3 school...will only get better from here...:cool:

    I have no dog in the fight - as soon as ULL was done I became a casual fan - but the umpiring this year is the worst I can recall seeing since I started watching the WCWS. If these are the BEST NCAA umpires...WOW!

    CIF playoffs start today. DD's team is #6 seed and will play #11 seed in play-in game to try and get to double-elimination rounds. DD has been ready for this season to be over since it started (numerous and previously discussed politics, attitude, senior-itis, coach favoritism, etc., issues)...

    DD pitched probably the best game of her life last night. DD's HS team (acknowledging that MaxPreps stats are often padded) is ranked 2155 in the nation. Opponent last night was ranked 79 with three D1 commits (two Big West, one SEC) and a scout from Stanford in the stands. Complete game...
