Although I don't have pelvic protectors I do wear a chest protector with a flap down there like a baseball style one. I don't care if your a girl it still hurts getting hit down there!

I am a catcher and sometimes throw from my knees. I only throw from my knees if I have to drop and block. i perfer to throw standing up but it depends on the catcher.
