DD switched to a more competitive team this year and she literally went from being one of the best players on her last team to the worst on this team. Should I worry about possible throat injury?
My little catcher beast took a nasty hit to her jaw after a foul tip at her game today. Her throat hurts and her tonsils are swollen. She says it feels like she has strep throat. No concussion signs, but the throat injuries seem strange. I'm thinking I may take her to the doctor to ease my mind...- catchermama

What is a Knuckleball Pitch?
My DD went to a tryout yesterday and their pitcher was throwing a knuckleball pitch. She had trouble catching it because it doesn’t spin initially, but then spins when it gets to her mitt? 3 steps and then throw to 2B?
Would appreciate another opinion...or two! My DD is an 11 year old catcher. She's been working with a catching instructor for about a year and has done pretty well under her instruction, IMO.
