Imo, there are so many factors in speed, it’s hard to pinpoint it. Separation of the chest and hips is probably #1 in my book. We know approximately 90% give or take of your speed comes directly from arm whip. Arm whip must haves imo are loose bent arm, upper arm stabilization and forearm...
When it comes to things they can do every time they pitch, which can make a big impact imo. I have all my pitchers do spine opening stretches, the velo lab band routine plus the 5x5 Ken posted, glute activations with bands and kettlebell swings before they pitch. Post throwing routine is...
I like a backswing for the things mentioned above as well as overlap. I like to see both arms come back no farther than 8ish unless they’re super flexible and can get them both back without it pulling them open. That’s the biggest issue with a big backswing with the ball arm only in my opinion...
A video may help to see exactly what she’s doing but my guess is she’s driving more up than out, that usually pulls the back foot up. I’d talk to her about driving more out than up and have her try to drive her hips past her shoulders which should help with the lean. When one of my athletes...
I totally agree with James. I’ve also discovered that driving out not open can be remedied a lot by getting proper lean to initiate the drive. Getting proper lean limits the amount of getting open that can be done.

I’m with James and Rosey, the drive mechanics is the place to start. I’d like to know, #1 Did she have the same mechanics other than the bent arm circle before going to college? #2 Has her college coach or anybody for that matter put an emphasis on driving out farther? #3 Has she she always...
I have the new one with usb charging port and speed embedded in the video clip, it also calls out loud the speed on your phone. Great setup and tool, definitely worth the money.

I’m no expert and probably not considered a trusted PC here as well but I can share that the QOTH has helped 90% of my girls (I have a little over 20).
It’s an every lesson tool for us, the way I have it dropped into the mat, it’s much more “game like” and not a distraction at all. The biggest...
Very common issue. When there’s a batter and an ump, what’s comfortable is what they usually do and unfortunately that’s usually what they’ve done the most. I believe it takes around 8-10k times for things to become muscle memory, until then, it’s 2 steps forward and 1 back. That’s why I push to...
Every one of my girls who had drive issues with not getting into the proper sprinters position to start have all improved quite a bit using it. Several of them have hit all time highs as a result as well. I’ve had mine for a month or so I guess and use it every girl, every lesson. I do suggest...
Most of what you work on will not stick enough to hurt her game performance imo. Sooner than later would be my suggestion, we started the transition a month before her HS sectional games when she was a freshman.
