If she is set up on the outside corner, shouldn't her body already be behind the ball. I know you're not the biggest fan in this pic but it's ones of the better examples I found. In the video that picture is for when you set up outside versus catchers that stay down the middle and then you have...
My opinion for what it's worth. It looks like she shifts to the corner, does she really need to shift her head and chest around the ball if she's set up on the corner? If she's on the corner, her goal should be not to shift around it and just catch the outside of the ball. I could be wrong.
Yes, she already received the lecture about her throwing hand. It's my biggest pet peeve and she'd never brought it out like that before so I put a quick stop to it and haven't seen it pop out since. Of course, after my lecture with her I notified her catching coach so she had to hear it from...
I assume this is directed toward me. Maybe I phrased it wrong with her goal to beat the batter. She only runs to where she has a angle for the over throw. If it's to the left side she goes all the way down the line to be in line with the overthrow. If it's to the right side she only goes to...
My DD plays 12U and she goes down the line anytime there are no runners on, her personal goal is to try to beat the runner down the line. Every over throw to first she has been there and got the runner trying to advance to second.
If the helmet wasn't so new at the time I probably would've never thought about calling customer service but I was angry that it was so new that I had to call and complain. They went out of their way to make it right in my opinion.
Also, if it matters. Wilsons warranty and customer service is amazing. My DD had one of the pads fall out of her catchers helmet so I called Wilson and they told me they'd send out a whole new helmet. When I asked them if they're going to pay shipping to ship the old one back, they said "no you...
That's basically what I was going to say. My DD loves it and will probably stick to Wilson. Every girl I see wearing ProMotion gear looks like it fits better than the rest.
My DD has had hers for about 5 months now. When she first got it she complained about the mask being further away from her face but now she is comfortable with it. Their warranty is top notch, one of the smaller pads came unglued so I called them and they had me email them pictures and they sent...
We have a girl on our team that does this. She releases the bat right at contact, I've never seen the bat go back at the catcher though. She's never been called for it.
