lol, 👍. Can 9 inches be done with just positioning, to create a FYB position?
FYB can be achieved in 1 inch if the batter is already close to being in that position. FYB is a HL launch position.. batters get there differently, so with big moves, others with very little movement. JMHO

Love this clip because it really shows the importance of posture and what a lot of amateur hitters actually do.. well maybe not this bad. The hitter was in good posture, then he adjusted his posture because he thought he was getting something under his chin, stood tall ball ended up much lower in the strike zone, barrel path was completely wrecked. Yeah I know, this is a pathetic swing LOL, but I think most get the picture.

A lot of amateur hitters end up standing tall at heel plant which wrecks their barrel path as well, resulting in pushing the barrel and around the ball barrel path

I view the launch position at toe touch and even sooner. The weight is still back in control of the backside. FYB position is closer to heel, where is the weight as the swing starts.

Right now I’m looking at the launch position and FYB as two separate positions.

If you launch prior to FYB then I would define that as ABAF, JMHO

Having fast and slow helps see the swing. I’m going to start doing that more often.

His hands come back a little as he loads.
