Should batter hit down on ball?
Hit down if the result you want is all ground balls. To quote Sparky Parker "Remember, the swing goes up".- softball_56

Thanks! But I know of many more than one. Like I said, I believe no one method is perfect but if you pick one whether it be Epstein, Mankin, Englishbey or whoever. Practice it hard and often. I also like Sparky Parker. Having said that as a hitting coach I'm always studying and learning...- softball_56

Toe Touch-Heel Plant Sequence
Starting using Epstein's method with DD about 7 years ago. She is a senior DII player having also played against the Georgia's and Louisville's plus many other D1 programs. Had no holes as you mentioned. Hits very well against all levels of competition. #7 in nation freshman year in doubles...- softball_56

Rotational Hitting
That is correct. He also said to think in terms of 1-2-3. Each step over and over and over and over again. But they do add their "own" specifics/drills to the swing.- softball_56
