    What are the lightest brand of cleats?

    I don't know if they are the lightest, but the Mizuno Watley 9 Spike is a very light shoe, and it wears extremely well. With the front spikes being replaceable, your kid will probably out grow them before wearing them out. (Unless she is a pitcher lol)

    I guess what my point was... TB is a year round commitment here, I can't imagine too many TB coaches that would be ok with their players taking off for a few months so they can boost their ego in rec ball.

    For a smaller girl, I would also consider the Miken Rain light. Seen quite a few petite girls swing them well, over the past few months.
