For the record, I took my daughter to the University of Kentucky for a clinic this weekend. The head coach started out the camp by demonstrating how she teaches hitters and what she looks for in a swing. Amazingly, it was EXACTLY what is taught to baseball players. Not sure if you are agreeing with me or disagreeing, but there would seem to be a lot more room for error with a SB than there is with a BB. It's only a fraction of that 1/2 inch with a baseball... Long bomb or fly ball... Meal ticket for life or bus ticket back home. Again, just my opinion.- Randy O

I'm not buying the whole pitch angle thing. If you take a 6'2" guy from 60'6" away (approx. 7' release point) and standing on a 10.5" mound and have him throw at a target basically waist high (3' off the ground) and draw a line from release point to impact point. Then take a 5'6" girl 43' away...- Randy O

This exact situation is why I posted the question. I took her to a camp last weekend at a D1. I won't mention the school in fear that someone here may have ties to it, but the coaches were advocating things that go completely against everything we have taught. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find a thd. clearly asking the question. What is the difference between a power SB swing and a power BB swing? I've had 2 sons play at high levels of BB, youngest drafted last June in 1st rnd, and have spent hundreds of hours in the cage...- Randy O
