How to transition from 8u rec (Mom coaching) to 8u TB (Mom spectating)
My best advise would be to let her have fun. Cheer for her when does good and cheer for her when she hustles and cheer for her when she messes up. Wonder how many have there catcher spint down 1st base line to cover in 95 degree temp. on every hit?? I don't think this situation comes up on every inning and every game so I don't believe it would hurt a catcher that much but again JMO. I just don't agree with no back up on the bases. Lets think --- any outfielder covering a base - bad throw - hmmmm now two runs score on a bunt --- give me outfielders backing up the bases - biggest part on sac bunt or push bunt is communication - and there is no one set way - you have to adjust to the bunt - to the type of runner on first and...- joeman39

That's what is funny... that electronics is important these days.... Oh I understand what is important to them (3 girls 23,21 and 16 and 1 boy 11) I just kind of chuckled when I saw no texting and ipod as discipline. Not meaning anything to you cmustang just as in general.- joeman39

Delusional Parents
Boulder you are correct... what is sad is that it's becoming a money game and who you know game... I have seen kids that can play but just don't have the money to go to these tournaments... that don't have the money to go to the school camps.... the tournaments keep going up and college camps...- joeman39

Softball dads converting their DD to I/R
Just wondered why coaches don't allow pitchers to warm up?? Or they warm up before game.. play a different position on field for 3-4 innings and hour later they yell at her to hit the circle and she hasn't pitched a ball, thrown a ball since before game started. slingnit actually the slingshot pitch wasn't or isn't a tactic. I've seen several slingshot pitchers to this day. Have met Coach Joyce several times being at her camps or after games.
