2016 Miken Freak Black vs 2015 Louisville LXT

I truly believe that most girls and parents get used to the DeMarini CF8 and/or LS LXT at a young age due to the -11 options. I have seen numerous girls use 29" and 30" -11's in 8u. Why change to Miken later on when you are used to other bats. I think Miken would do much better if they would...

2016 Miken Freak Black vs 2015 Louisville LXT

Demarini cf drop 11 is by far the most popular in 8u here in Arkansas. I would think if a player/parents get used to a bat, trusts it, they will continue to use that brand for the most part. My daughter is using a cf8 (Thanks Core!!!). I've seen how good it is by her and many other 8u teams...

2016 Miken Freak Black vs 2015 Louisville LXT

    Your typical girl can't swing a 31/21 until 10u or 12u.

2016 Miken Freak Black vs 2015 Louisville LXT

Could it be that FB smallest size is 31/21? LS and Demarini makes great bats in 29/30 drop eleven. Girls in 8u will use these and become very familiar with these brands. If FB would come in a 30/20 I think it would increase their popularity big-time.

    Rip It Reaper Light

I bought a Reaper light 30/18 for my soon to be 8u dd but it actually weighs 22.2 oz so it is too heavy for my daughter. This is my bat of choice hitting pop flies thou. Ball comes off very consistent. Daughter just finished up using a CF6 Sprite 29/18 in 6u which actually weighs 17.6 oz.

Advice on bat for 7 yo

My DD is about to turn seven. Has played a lot of softball in her young life already. She used a 29/18 CF6 Sprite this season and hit very well with it. We have recently started practicing on pitching machine. I'm looking for a slightly bigger bat now. What are your opinions on the...

Bat recommendation for 8U/10U TB, please

I coach an 07 team and we just finished 6u about to move up to 8u mp. We have two cf6 sprites (28/17 & 29/18) that most of our girls use. I highly recommend these for younger players.
