Scott passed away the week before Thanksgiving. He was a great coach, friend, and mentor to many in the softball community.
A memorial has been scheduled, details quoted below were posted by his daughter Kelly Welch, on his Facebook page. Any updates would presumably be posted there as well.
After several weeks of tearing it up in tryouts, when to all appearances all the passion and love of the game that have been leeched out of her the last few seasons, she told me she's not going to do this anymore.
She's had a trail of cr@ppy coaches, kept thinking this time maybe we found...
Disagree on principle with #9. IMLE, there are plenty of males involved in the sport that may need to make us of said container, though apparently few do. ;-)

Had all four of mine out at 15. Only about 2 days of genuine pain, but I reacted badly to the codeine and had to gut it out. In that state, I would not have been able to function athletically, might have been possible for others with the meds.
In an only slightly related note, without a smattering of crappy coaches and dysfunctional parents, it would have been a lot harder coming up with passwords the last 6 years.
