So helpful. I will tell her all. Thanks much. Now I have something to tell her instead of, "not your fault" or "that base is as much yours as hers." ha. Thank you so much. We'll practice that. Thanks.
My daughter played/plays a lot of different positions. Plus she's a pitcher. As she gets older we've started asking her where she prefers. She prefers first base. Ok- you like what you like. Ok. This year we only did travel ball- 9 tournaments (no rec). She only played first base twice...
Yes. We have one at our high school. Committed to a big d1. Acl surgery last summer and led our high school to the state semis this year. Full travel schedule this summer - including Colorado and California. Didn't seem to skip a beat as far as anyone can tell.

My 13u daughter (~5'7" & 145ish?) has always been #3 or #4 in the lineups with some of the most hits (&plenty of extra-base hits) on all of her teams. We think her swing is good. We've been afraid to change anything. It's been many, many years since she's used anything really except a -11...
My 2 girls can't be bribed or punished by anything else. I've tried. All they care about is that phone. I failed in that area very badly. Lol.

If I had it to do over again - I woulda started them out with their cell phones very differently. They would NOT get them all the time. (Like mine do now- the horse is already out of the barn in my house ). They ONLY get them after homework, practices and chores are done every night. Etc...
I personally never schedule doctor appointments (unless an extreme emergency) and vacations during the season. I just don't. Or I expect consequences from our coach- which I would understand. Prom is a different matter I believe. But also one I would let her skip softball to do things for...
My daughter (a pitcher) is 13 this year. When she was 9, 10 and 11- we did the Little League rec games& a season of allstars (that went on to the state tournaments & usually lasted almost the whole summer).
Last year (12)- we played the Little League rec season games, but skipped allstars and...
But is it impossible for a 12 year old to play in a senior league, correct? I thought 2 years ago our president submitted a waiver to the district guy for a 12 year old to play up in our senior league.. but searching now it doesn't say anything about a 12 year old being allowed to play in a...
I don't think you should. It is who she is. You are not pushing her. Since it's all her- I don't think you should worry. Shower her with extra love and understanding and relaxation and support. Let her do what she loves. And who she is. And who she wants to be. I know it can be a curse to be...
