Here is what our 12 & 14U teams did last year together. We went to our local printing and got them to donate flyers and the local grocery store to donate charcoal and BBQ sauce.
Each girl got a stack of flyers in which we pre-sold slabs of ribs. They sold for $15 each. Each slab profited $8...
My daughter throws 80% 2 seams. She uses her middle and ring finger on the seams, with forefinger and pinky to thed sides. She has some very wicked movement using this pitch. She did not like the feel of the ball at first, but once she started seeeing the results of the pitch she now uses it all...
Well not too bad. She leans a little forward, but the MOST important thing you have to teach this girl is to follow through her arm after the pitch. She is stopping her arm 95% of the time in the video and if she keeps this up she is insuring herself a shoulder surgery in a few years.

I was told that when bunting it is legal to bunt the ball and drop the bat directly in front of the plate and run. I was told this was to stop a ball with backspin from rolling back to the plate and foul. Was I told correctly?
Pitching Mat
Here is what I have did for my daughter and now I just made 3 more for my team. I went to a local gravel quarry and they gave me some conveyor belt. I cut it into 8-9 ft sections and screwed a pitching mound to it. Works great!!
Sure beats paying $200 for one. I went to the local...
