Newest buy, a steel Jamis Dragon Pro, 853 Reynolds steel tubing. Always wanted a steel hardtail, this one was bought out of necessity….

Had a physical January 5th, had lost 35lbs without trying, red flags flying everywhere. Gave 16 quarts of blood it seems, liver, kidneys, cholesterol, all the things I worry about….perfectly fine!

My A1C was 6.5, so a change in diet and exercise. Weighed 199 the other day before hopping in the shower, that’s my first time under 200 since Anna was born (2001).

This thing is a rocket, even with old self pedaling it!

Stay healthy (and thirsty) my friend! Nice hardtail with some nice parts! I've got to tell ya though...do something about those grips, that color combo is like having gold flake laces on your Don Morton glove! ;-)

I still have my old steel frame Diamondback from the early '90s. Waaay back when front shocks were an aftermarket accessory. LOL My preferred ride these days (when I do get out and pedal the trails) is my Yeti SB95. Really lightweight, full suspension 29'r that just does everything well.

I have a Yeti ASRc that I love. I have no idea why heavy bikes got so popular. My biking jam is pretty views, some good cardio and lots of wildflowers. But I’ve taken it off the 4’ drops at the bike park fine too.

Ha.....gonna order a 70mm Chromag stem to stretch it out a little, and yes, some new grips! Bought this from a couple who's DD actually raced this bike on a team.

Wondered who was gonna mention the grips on here first? Tonk for the win!!

For the first time I was trying to be PC and not mention the grips...being nice to you :)

I actually think Tonka was being nice as well even though he commented :D

VERY NICE!!! I'm glad I poked my head in here for a minute. I stepped out of the bike forum to talk about bikes on the softball forum. :)

I've never had the passion for steel bikes, like some folks get (although I wish I had never sold my Lemond Zurich road bike). I'm definitely a fan of carbon. Here's my MTB - hardtail power FTW!!!

No longer being a softball dad has returned me to my former identity as a cyclist, and I'm on a bike 4 days per week pretty consistently. Although I won't return to being a road racer in the way I was before 2005, I've been doing gravel events, and REALLY enjoying them. Here's my current gravel rig after my most recent event...

When I'm not in the dirt, I'm on this...
