Next thing I know you’re going to tell me all those gifs of Barry Bonds and the like in the hitting section have any relevance to this board.
I am not going tell you anything since you seem to have it all under control all on your own 😉

For whatever it’s worth, there really isn’t all that much difference from D1 to D2 to D3 softball in the expectancy numbers. Like not enough to worry about at all. I really don’t think there would be all that much difference in tb or hs.

I like bunting with a plan. I love fake bunt/steal. Someone was talking about slappers, a true triple threat slapper is really fun to watch. (Kayla Kowalik comes to mind. That girl is DANGEROUS!). I honestly don’t know what sac bunting and a triple threat slapper have to do with each other, one gets on base, advances runners, causes chaos. The other moves a runner up one bag and shortens your inning by a third.

Now I will say this…. DD’s college coach is a pretty highly regarded coach and reduces all situations to numerical likelihood’s. She does classic sac bunting regularly. She does it with hitters in the box that can hit. I’m not into it. She has the six figure coaching job with a car deal and a fancy office. I have an iPad and a worn out recliner.

I think a better thread would be to list all of the RH hitting catchers who slapped...@RADcatcher should get a monument for that alone 🤣

RAD intense weapon!

Too bad there aren't more softball players on this website to talk fast pitch.
At least there are a few that have actual game time experience stories to share.

If i have 2&3, no outs in early innings, depending on who is up, they may be swinging away. OR if a speedy left is up, she might be bunting. It all depends on the situation. I know that I will NOT be bunting one of my big hitters to ensure getting 1 run, when I likely might get 2 or more on 1 swing.
