Cory, what size is your daughter? I see she's using a 31" bat, honestly I missed her age the first time I read your post. 31" is a pretty long bat for "most" 9 year old girls. I know when my DD was 9, she definitely wasn't using a bat that long. Just curious if she's a big girl for her age.

Good catch, that is kind of long for a 9yo. Most I coach are using 30" bat, with smaller girls down at 28 to 29".

My daughter is 9 years old but she is 8u ( January birthdate). She is 55" tall and weighs about 78 pounds. We do not play with RIF balls, everything we play with are hard leather 11" balls. She plays on a 10 travel ball team, B level.

She swings a 29/18 LXT. Even as an 8u player there is a significant difference in the performance of a high end composite vs. $50 alloy bat when hitting a hard ball. That I guarantee. If she is still hitting soft soft balls or RIF balls there is not a need to spend big money. Come fall season we will be moving up to a drop 10 bat, just not sure if it will be a LXT 30/20 or a LXT 29/19

Go find a CF6 -11 that is lightly used. That is a hot bat.

I happen to have one and willing to sell :)

My daughter is 9 but she is tall for her age. Weighs about 80lbs.

I am not a fan of -12 or less, can stomach -11 I guess.

I understand the wanted a longer bat, especially with the short arms, but the performance of -10 is so much better. She might strike out more but when she hits the ball, she hits the ball.

(In 8 and 10U half the Team used DD's pink bat from Walmart, it was probably sized, At 10 I got her a pervious year Xeno 30/20 for $100. We got to field early and told her to grab her bat, I have my bat. No grab your new bat. I do not need or want a new bat. I can not return it so at least try it for a little bit then go back to your old bat. 2 hours latter I told her I was tired and we needed to go home. Pink bat was shipped to younger niece next day.

If you practice with your DD be careful, you would not believe how fast the ball comes off the bat)
