I like this explanation: "My weight is on my rear leg, as I start swinging, my weight shifts to my lead leg at the time of contact,

baberuth_nodupes.gif

and every time this comes up, i will state that it is NOT true. even though this is what he believes.
the video evidence is that his weight is forward before he launches his barrel, or WAY BEfore contact.

But he does describe one leg hitting to me.

"Note that my weight is on my left foot (that would be his "rear leg" also). As I start swinging my weight shifts to my right foot (that would be his "lead leg") at the time of contact with the ball. The force of the swing makes a perfect follow through."
So let me just paraphrase what the Babe said....."My weight is on my rear leg, as I start swinging, my weight shifts to my lead leg at the time of contact".

Mann,
So, you want your hitters to Shift THEN Swing. Meaning Shift weight on to their front leg THEN Swing.

One of these sure looks like spinning!
How much weight gets to the front foot of that spinner?

He's out there talking performing experiments with scales - swinging with "high level" mechanics in one experiment. And then swinging with low level mechanics in the other - as if he actually knew one from the other.

Gosh, by now even his own supporters are probably scratching their heads.

And did you notice? He couldn't answer the simple question:
At the point in time that this clip ends, who would register more weight on the scale - with the front foot?

See his belt loops? See the stripe on his pants?

Howe, in one of the videos you played, Bonds gets to the "sit to hit" position and then adjust. The ability to adjust is a part of what I call controlling the middle. See the shoulders fly. See the hips fly. Where is the adjustment? Well, both of us have argued against what the fat boy teaches for a long time and so, there will always be those he has suckered in. BTW, did you know my dd is not Bustos? LOL

LOL. Yeah, but she did pretty damn good for herself Coach.

In regards to the BondsvBonds gif. For the longest time, I would watch guys argue over that video and wonder why they didn't correct it. If you are going to argue about the ability to GO or Wait, why wouldn't you sync the frames to an identifiable player movement (Bonds uses a toe tap). Somebody got caught, huh?

Notice how Noon synced these correctly. There is a lot to be learned from the pitches and reactions when compared to the properly synced identifier. Chubby thinks CONTACT is the starting point!!!

Does someone want to tell The Crisco Kid that the reason I slowed my responses, is because I'm embarrassed for him?
